Dear Professor:
I
am writing to you with the pleasure of recommending
Ms. Xxx for acceptance into your graduate program. As
Dean of the College of Finance, I have come in contact
with thousands of college and graduate students. With
her academic achievements and her personality, Ms. Xxx
stands out as one of the college's exceptional students.
I
became acquainted with Ms. Xxx when I was invited to
attend a New Year's Eve party in 2000. As the student
union representative in charge of entertainment, Ms.
Xxx planned and managed the entire event. This event
was one of the most successful activities that the students
held that year. In her role as student union representative,
Ms. Xxx coordinated many student functions. While organizing
these events, she often contacted me and left me with
a strong, positive impression. Although the tasks were
time-consuming and complex, she completed them with
skill and efficiency. She took responsibility for the
duties that needed to be completed, and fulfilled those
duties successfully. In 2000, she led a group of students
to organize the first chorus league in the College of
Finance. She demonstrated strong leadership skills,
and an excellent manner of cooperation and communication,
with unswerving attention to detail.
As
a versatile student, Ms. Xxx managed and took part in
many academic and extracurricular activities. She navigated
between her many classes, meetings, and contests with
surprising alacrity. She also dedicated substantial
time to pursuing her studies. In her third academic
year when course load was very heavy, she focused all
of her attention on academic study. With her efforts,
she achieved excellent scores, ranking third in the
College. She also was awarded the first prize academic
scholarship.
I
am suitably impressed by this person's extraordinary,
driving spirit and confidence. Ms. Xxx is the kind of
person who, once setting a goal, will make every effort
to achieve it. When considering the fact that she entered
into Hunan University as the daughter of an impoverished
family but will graduate as a top student, there are
sufficient reasons to believe in her great potential.
Also
worthy of mentioning is Ms. Xxx's superb command of
the English language. Her clear and fluent expression,
whether in oral or written English, is excellent. Whenever
I invited foreign professors to our University to give
lectures, she was one of the most active attendants,
not only making her comments with fluent oral English,
but also communicating with the professors freely. As
the president of the English club, she organized the
English corner, which provided an outdoor space for
students to communicate with each other in English.
In this role, she frequently contacted foreign teachers
and students in our University to invite them to the
club's events, and in doing so, often made good friends
with them.
As
a superb undergraduate student, Ms. Xxx demonstrated
great intellectual potential and competency. I believe
that she can successfully undertake a graduate studies
program for the realization of her ambition. If you
accept her, you will find her drive and sense of purpose
very contagious among the students. In view of all that
I know of her, I strongly recommend her for your program.
If you would like any more information about Ms. Xxx,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely Yours,
Professor.
